Okay I remember during the Periscope days Esther had to write something about herself and was reading it off in a cabin with Dave. Every sentence started with the word ‘I’ and I got sad that Esther couldn’t write. Nevermind! She can write really well! This was great.
I just want to say in response to this "Anyways if anyone reading this knows more about the cool/uncool scene at Canyon Coffee, let me know"
no-one is cool, not one person. It's a facade, a charade and everyone is as self doubting and neurotic as everyone else inside, they are just better at hiding it. And if, just if, for a fleeting moment someone happens to be popular or cool...it's like a curse waiting for the other shoe to drop, because what happens when one day they are suddenly no longer cool or relevant etc? In swings the insecurity and dread and desperation.
And what has changed? Now we have the internet where people can blurt out their inner feelings and doubts and guess what, we love them for it, they are more relatable, more honest more real. Let's all just live our lives, befriend those whom we resonate with, protect our energy and wear whatever we damn well please.
Thanks for posting this, cheered up my not so good of a day. The lollipop Guild story was funny. They always scared me as a kid, but not as bad as the flying monkeys, those gave me nightmares. Take care Esther and family 🙂

I would happily read more Esther film reviews. Particularly old ones.
That scene reminds me of my favorite Golda Meir quote
“Not being beautiful was the true blessing. Not being beautiful forced me to develop my inner resources. The pretty girl has a handicap to overcome.”
Like, how is this so true????
